Kim Alter

Overview

Kim Alter, seMagicBus Creator, is a social entrepreneur and a pioneering leader in the field of social entrepreneurship. She has endeavored for 20 years in over 40 countries to employ business practices and market-based approaches in the social sector to create social change. Alter is Founder and Managing Director of Virtue Ventures; creator of seMagicBus; founder of seToolbelt; founding Board Member of Social Enterprise Alliance and former Visiting Fellow to the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (2004-2010). She has taught courses and designed curriculum on social entrepreneurship, social enterprise, and impact investing at Oxford and a number of other universities. She has also spoken and written widely on the subject of social entrepreneurship. Moreover, Kim has a successful track record of supporting students to lead social enterprise startups.
