Overview
Kostis has more than a decade experience in Project Management Investment Banking Venture Capital Private Equity Project Financing and Fund Management where he worked for family offices high net worth individuals and other private and institutional investors such as Bregal Energy a leading global private investor in Renewable Energy and Quadia a pioneer investment manager in the field of impact investing through discretionary mandates in direct investments and funds. He started his career in the Investment Banking division of Lombard Odier one of the oldest and largest private banks in Switzerland concentrating on Corporate Finance Mergers & Acquisitions Capital Markets and Debt Advisory services for mid caps in the DACH region. He accompanied Bregal Energy (prev. Good Energies) throughout its build up and expansion phase focusing on investment management dealflow target evaluation and portfolio related transactions. Kostis was involved in key investment and portfolio coaching processes of leading global renewable energy players and has prepared and coordinated the IPO listing of two of the world s largest solar manufacturers. As Head of Investments at Quadia Kostis is responsible for a large of direct and fund investments the preparation and execution of the client mandates and the management of the company's investment vehicles. He is also managing the technical assistance services for the portfolio companies.He has been invited as a speaker and panelist in several international events and conferences and has also published articles in electronic and print media. He is a co organizer of the 1st and the 2nd international investor energy access conference (Zurich / London 2014). He is also Co Editor in Chief for sustainability and impact investing issues of Market Magazine a leading investor magazine in the French part of Switzerland. Kostis holds various board positions in European companies with activities in the developed world and in emerging markets mainly providing his expertise in strategy business development and financing. His professional ethics and values have been shaped by his early involvement in the family business a company active in the B2B and B2C sustainable consumer products segment. He got his Masters degree in Economics & Finance from the University of Zurich isSwiss and Greek and lives in Zurich and Geneva since 1995.
