Martin Meldgaard

Overview

Martin Meldgaard is a danish citizen and he has more than 20 years experience as an agricultural economist for agricultural projects in Africa. He is an expert on managing commercial agriculture and agribusiness. Emphasis on his work has been on developing sustainable agribusiness programs including food security and sustainable supply and value chain analysis producer organizations and cooperatives including out grower schemes. Martin also held senior positions with WFP USAID and Danida projects. Extensive experience of value chain development marketing and private sector development in Africa. Benefiting from a true understanding of the realities of farming in Africa and the challenges that can entail his insight and understanding of the industry provide clear oversight and pragmatic management to both new ventures and project development initiatives.
