orgMartin has decades of experience in banking and finance, including 21 years as an international commercial banker at Lloyds Banking Group, 16 years in Private and Financial Sector Development at the World Bank and over 5 years as a Banking Advisor at the US Department of the Treasury Office of Technical Assistance (OTA) and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). He has extensive practical experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, credit risk management, credit information systems, treasury, bank restructuring, bank privatization and microfinance. Martin undertook diagnostic reviews of the barriers and obstacles to small business lending and microfinance in Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. For several years Martin also advised the MCC on the implementation of their Agricultural Credit Program in Ghana. Recently, Martin has conducted due diligence assessments and delivered training to nine Lebanese microfinance institutions as part of a small business/micro-enterprise development and capacity-building program.
