Overview
A major focus of the past 15 years of my career has been helping to lead the movement to leverage telecommunications as a force for social impact. My first position was with U.S. House Telecom & Finance Subcommittee back in the mid 80's and then went on to found three companies and three nonprofits, including one of the first focused on social and environmental impact, BetterWorld Telecom. I have now shifted my time and energy towards co-founding and leading a startup, Sparrow Mobile, which is a national wireless carrier in the U.S. focused on using mobile services, devices and cloud based apps and content to help end cycles of poverty both in the U.S. and abroad.
