is the former Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity in Durham. He started working as a laborer in the cotton industry of California for Houchin Enterprises and became General Manager six years later. He later worked for Cone Mills, a large textile company in Greensboro, NC, forming the International division for the company and serving as President of that division for 12 years. Miguel retired from Cone in 2001, and worked as a consultant to a German company, managing 5 garment finishing plants in Latin America and USA. Miguel has participated as a volunteer for Habitat in Greensboro for over 10 years. He took the position of Executive Director of Habitat in Durham in July, 2005. Miguel graduated from the University of Barcelona, Spain with a concentration in Economic Science, and has an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Mr. Rubiera is from Spain.
