Rahul Bakare

Overview

Rahul is the founder and CEO of Urdhvam. He completed his BE Mechanical Engineering from MIT Pune and pursued his MS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University USA and he holds an executive program in Business Management from IIM Kolkata. Before embarking on his new venture on sustainability and environmental management Urdhvam he has been pivotal in developing the strategy and implementation programs in philanthropy space with Mrs Rohini Nandan Nilekani in Water and Sanitation Space where he established more than 80 projects in Water and sanitation across India developed four pan India networks on participatory groundwater management fluoride & arsenic mitigation and water conflicts. He is a member of Business Network International (BNI) Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Mahratta Chamber Of Commerce Industries & Agriculture (MCCIA) The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and Indian Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH). He is always buzzing with new ideas and happy when his ideas take some shape & form. He is our green evangelist for sustainability with more than 20 years of experience and is an ardent farmer not many know about.
