Overview

Raul has over a decade of professional experience in international development work. He has served as a consultant to different United Nations agencies and other international organizations, governments, corporations, non-profit grassroots organizations and research institutions on projects in more than 20 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Raul has extensive experience in the design of communication strategies and information technology applications across a wide range of practice areas, including agriculture, education, governance and health. Raul is a native of Seville, Spain. He studied at universities in Spain, England and Norway before coming to the United States to pursue his graduate degrees. Raul received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Communication and International Development from Cornell University. Besides his passion for development and social entrepreneurship, Raul also enjoys teaching. Having held research and teaching positions at several leading universities in the United States, Raul is currently an adjunct professor of International Development at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC.
