Overview

Reina S. Cabezas is a graduate of the University of San Francisco. She was a bilingual advocate for survivors of domestic violence for 10 years before becoming an elementary and middle school teacher. Reina received a multiple subject credential and her Master's in Science with an option in Educational Technology Leadership from Cal State University, East Bay all while teaching 4th grade and raising two of her own little leaders. Currently, she is a Technology teacher for students K-5 and co-teacher of 6th grade Engineering and Technology Gateway to Technology class at Lazear Charter Academy in Oakland's Fruitvale district. She is an active participant in the Strategic Vision and Planning for Education for Change, and continues to advocate for building teacher capacity and collaboration in the sound pedagogical integration of technology at the site and organization level.
