Overview
Shavaun Evans is the Network Organizer for the New Economy Coalition. She is a native of Louisville KY where she grew up playing in her father s organic vegetable garden and shadowing her mother in her local criminal justice advocacy efforts. Her work has been an extension of her upbringing. For eight years she collaborated with rural and urban farmers to challenge existing agriculture policies and build more sustainable people powered food and farm systems and as an active member of the 10000 member Kentuckians for the Commonwealth she works alongside her fellow Kentuckians in fighting for a new balance of power and a just society
