Alok Mittal


Alok is cofounder and CEO of Indifi, a platform to expand access to debt financing for Indian SMEs. Alok is a successful first generation entrepreneur based in India. Alok is also a founding member of Indian Angel Network, which is a forum for making angel investments. He last led India operations of Canaan Partners, a premier US based venture capital firm. Earlier, he cofounded JobsAhead.com in 1999. JobsAhead.com is the leading e-recruitment business focussed on the Indian market, and was acquired by Monster.com recently. Before founding JobsAhead, Alok worked with Hughes software in telecom and internet technologies. Alok is a computer science graduate from IIT Delhi, and completed his MS and Management of Technology programs from UC Berkeley.

Armando Laborde


Armando has been the director of Ashoka Mexico and Central America since 2006. Before joining Ashoka, Armando Laborde was strongly linked to the microfinance movement in Mexico. He was the first Executive Director of ProMujer Mexico from 2002 to 2006 and part of the founding team of FinComun Community Financial Services, where he worked from 1994 to 1999. He was also involved in the fair trade movement by implementing a program for trading coffee in the Biosphere Reserve, El Triunfo, in Chiapas, Mexico. This program, having an environmental, social and economic impact, was developed with the organization Conservation International in alliance with strong trading partners such as Starbucks. Armando is a biochemical engineer and holds an MBA in Business Management from the Instituto Panamericano.

Hardy Farrow is currently the Executive Director of Let s Innovate through Education (LITE Memphis). Hardy was named one of the Forbes 30 under 30 in Education in 2017 and recognized as a Global Semifinalist for the Forbes Change the World Competition in fall 2016 as one of the top 20 changemakers in the world. Hardy was the recipient of the National Innovation in Teaching award as a first year Teach for America teacher and was selected as a regional finalist for the Sue Lehmann Excellence in Teaching Award via Teach for America in his second year. Hardy is currently a member of the Leadership Memphis Executive Class and a proud graduate of the George Washington University where he majored in political science.
