Crispin Murira

Crispin has more than eleven years of executive leadership and business experience. A proven entrepreneur, Crispin founded and led a successful New York City fashion accessories design company where he devised and executed product development, managed sales and marketing, and grew distribution to more than 100 retail locations throughout the United States. Previously he worked as a senior mergers and acquisitions analyst for investment bank Credit Suisse First Boston (now Credit Suisse) participating in over two billion dollars of acquisitions and divestitures. Since 2005 Crispin has been leading the marketing efforts for Blinds To Go, North America’s largest retailer and manufacturer of Blinds and Shades. As marketing director, he built and managed the team responsible for identifying appropriate media channels, developing effective consumer marketing campaigns and executing those campaigns to successfully generate $125 million of annual revenues. Crispin grew up in Nairobi, Kenya before coming to the United States to attend university. He is fluent in Swahili, holds an A.B. in Economics and Physics from Bowdoin College and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
