Patrick Kimathi

Patrick is the Founder and CEO of Skynotch Energy Africa, an energy access promotion company targeting off grid areas in Africa. He has a wealth of experience in project development and management with a bias in renewable energy. He previously worked United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as a renewable energy projects coordinator in Kenya for the over 5 years.before founding Skynotch Energy Africa in 2012. He has a passion for changing lives and impacting livelihoods especially where renewable energy is employed. He has experience in resource mobilization and partnership development. Skynotch Energy has been supported by Kenya Climate innovation Centre to develop pilot projects in selected areas and is working with Strathmore Energy research Centre to develop a monitoring tool for energy projects. We major in Clean technology distribution for of grid indoor lighting, Productive use of energy and application of clean technology for employment and wealth creation as well as Energy generation projects development. He is using his experience and passion to change lives in areas where national grid has not reached or is not expected to reach in the next 5 years.
