Overview
Stefanie Bauer is a Technical Advisor for Private Sector Development at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in India, specialized on promotion of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) and on innovation promotion. Since 2010 she is heading a project component of bilateral technical cooperation between India and Germany on MSME financing and development with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) as an implementation partner. Together with its partners, the project aims to improve the service environment for MSME, improving access to finance and other support services. Currently, Stefanie is leading a new initiative within GIZ on “Responsible Enterprise Finance”, aiming to strengthen the integration of environmental, social and governance concerns in lending and investment decision making of financial institutions.
