Tomás Matola

Overview

Tomás is currently the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Investment Bank (BNI) in Mozambique. Previously served as Executive Board Member at BNI for areas of Credit and bank operations, Treasury, Financial Markets, Marketing and Economic research. In 2011 he joined at the first time to BNI, invited to create and coordinate the Capital Markets and Fund Management Department. In 2010, participated in the creation of the first mobile banking services in Mozambique, designated “MKesh" from Mozambique celular company - mcel, and performed as Chief Compliance Officer. From 2007 to 2010 worked as a Senior Dealer at the dealing room of the Central bank – “Banco de Mozambique” (Foreign Department). From 2005 to 2007 served as Specialist of credit analysis and risk assessment for Investment banking Department at Millennium bim, the biggest commercial bank in Mozambique. From 2004 to 2005 he worked as Financial Auditor at the Ministry of Finance.
