Overview
Raised in Pakistan, graduated from MIT as a Mechanical engineer specializing in Building Technology. Zehra has over 5 years of experience in energy efficient housing and design and dissemination of pro-environment and scalable energy technologies in developing countries. She is the Founder and CEO of Ghonsla, which provides affordable insulation made from recycled materials to underserved markets starting with Pakistan. Ghonsla has a global vision to increase the quality of life for people at every level of society, conserve precious environmental resources and create green jobs. In addition to leading Ghonsla’s efforts, Zehra has designed and co-taught undergraduate and MBA courses on Social Entrepreneurship in Pakistan and is also an active advisor to the Babar Ali Foundation for increasing the impact of its $1 million scholarship portfolio.
