Overview

Connect Bogotá Region is an initiative arising from the Business Alliance State University as a nonprofit corporation created from the academia, the business sector and the support of government agencies to incorporate the City Region in the context of an economy based on knowledge. We work to accelerate innovation management elements such as becoming science and technology development engine for the Region. Connect is part of the global network Global Connect , composed of more than 40 organizations worldwide, seeking to boost innovation, replicating the model of San Diego Connect which has helped the formation and development of over 1,000 companies, and is widely regarded as one of the most successful programs in the world that links entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed in the market. Thus, Bogota Region Connect accelerates innovation through the articulation of the members comprising it, in order to promote a culture of collaboration and strategic alliances, developing a network to generate the resources necessary to transform the region and Bogotá and create human, legal, necessary infrastructure and economic incentives that drive this process.
