Overview

Created through a $13 million gift from James Lee Sorenson, the SGII Center at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business seeks to provide students with real-world experience and interaction with industry leaders in the impact investing space. The SGII Center services the growth of the sector at-large through various activities, including: Student led Due Diligence: Student deal teams that provide comprehensive early stage advisory services to leading foundations, investment funds, and family offices, including: *Deal Sourcing *Data-driven due diligence *Preparation of Investment Memorandums *Sector support for development in fields such as healthcare, housing, education, agriculture, sustainable energy, entrepreneurial livelihood and training. Creation of an impact investing curriculum and Hiring of Multi-Discipline Faculty. Leading Market and Academic Research. Annual international practitioner gatherings. Public policy and advocacy on issues affecting impact investing community.
