ASA INTERNATIONAL (ASAI) was established in 2007 with the mission to establish Greenfield microfinance institutions in Asia and Africa. A large number of people with low income of those countries remain excluded from financial services as the mainstream banks or financial institutions do not consider them bankable. The main motto of ASA International is to offer apt financial services to the poor and the low income segment of the developing countries.ASA International strongly believes that sustainable and profitable business model can be created through focusing on the poor in a challenging operating environments. Since the inception it has been striving to spread of a highly efficient and scalable model of microfinance in addressing poverty. Currently the entities of ASAI render microfinance service to 1.5 million poor clients of 13 countries of Asia and Africa through 1177 branch offices.
