Overview

Mr. Alfred A. Plamann, also known as Al, serves as Vice President of Grocers Specialty Company. Mr. Plamann serves as Consultant of Unified Grocers, Inc. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Unified Grocers, Inc. from September 1999 to May 1, 2013 and as its President from September 1999 to June 15, 2011. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Certified Grocers of California for six years until September 1999. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Certified Grocers from 1989 to 1993. He served in an Executive capacity with Atlantic Richfield Co. He serves as Chairman of Economic Advisory Council at Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He has been the Chairman of The Financial-Services Group at National Consumer Cooperative Bank since May 2012. He serves as the Chairman of NCB, FSB. He served as the Chairman of the San Gabriel Valley Council of Boy Scouts of America. He has been a Director of National Consumer Cooperative Bank since 2008. He served as a Director of National Consumer Cooperative Bank since 2003. He served as a Director of the National American Wholesale Grocers Association and the California Grocers Association (CGA). He served on the Board of Directors of several of the Unified's subsidiaries. He serves as a Member of the Industry Relations Committee of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI). He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Twelfth District Economic Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve, as well as the National Cooperative Grocers Association. He serves as a Board Member of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce , the Town Hall of Los Angeles and Member of Board of Visitors at George L. Graziadio School of Business & Management , Pepperdine University , the Southern California Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Weingart Center Association. Mr. Plamann holds a BS in Accounting and Real Estate from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.
