Overview

Sabiha believes that the intersections of education, technology and business have profound implications for humanity. Passionately convinced that humanity needs to ditch ideology and embrace pragmatic idealism in 2005 she had the revolutionary idea that business skills and investment resources could be channelled to enterprising people via the worldwide deployment of specially trained business students. She founded Sanghata in 2009 and developed the educational training component of her concept with the Monterey Institute of International Studies. It came to fruition in 2011 as the ‘Frontier Market Scouts Program’. Sabiha is associate founder and member of two boards at The Lifeboat Foundation, a US think tank engaged in the most comprehensive effort being taken to ensure that humanity safely adopts the increasingly powerful emerging technologies. From its inception in 2009 to May 2012 Sabiha was Associate Founder at Singularity University, an interdisciplinary university based at NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley. Between 1991 and 1995 Sabiha was a director at the architecture firm, Foster and Partners. Her work includes the award-winning design concept for the reconstruction of the Reichstag building in Berlin and at a management level her strategic interventions contributed to the advancement of Foster and Partners to the dominant global position it now occupies. Sabiha also completed a degree in clinical psychology, and an MA in transpersonal psychotherapy at De Montfort University in England – transpersonal psychotherapy is an approach that brings the world’s great spiritual traditions together with the key ideas of modern psychology. She brings to Sanghata her talents as a poet, psychologist, architect and designer.
