Overview

It was born as a proposal to open an alternative market to artisans where their creativity is valued and they receive a fair price for their work creating a more direct link between producers and consumers. We started by promoting our own products and then decided to go one step further and sell crafts made by other organizations of indigenous women in Mexico. We seek to promote and disseminate the principles of fair trade and consumer awareness. And within this effort it is our priority to strengthen gender equity by promoting the economic autonomy of women and the valuation of their work.At the same time it seems essential to defend maintain and publicize the rich and varied artisanal techniques of indigenous communities. Faced with the proliferation of makeup products it seems essential to value the unique products created patiently by hand and that keep alive the Mexican cultural expressions. We also want to encourage communication between artisans from different regions. Create a feedback space and strengthen the functioning of organizations through workshops forums and other forms of training.
