Overview

Establish a network of one room schoolhouses in inner cities that will revive elementary education as a stepping stone from poverty to prosperity. Ember serves Bedford Stuyvesant Central Brooklyn a primarily Black and Latino community. Our goal is to provide an impactful public education to the children from the lowest income households experiencing trauma poverty high unemployment and violence. We believe that the schools these children need are ones where they learn how to change the world. We believe that it doesn t matter how many random facts you can remember what matters is how the world remembers the good you do.
