Overview

Nexthamburg is Hamburg's Citizens' City Laboratory independent and open to all who want to shape the future of the city together. We give the ideas opinions and wishes of citizens a stage and ensure that they are heard by the city. With the help of the tools provided by Nexthamburg on the Internet and at on site events anyone can join. Long term The goal of Nexthamburg is to help ensure that promising citizens' solutions find their way into their implementation. The goal to finance feasibility studies and political work for the project ideas. Nexthamburg is active since April 2009 and is organized since autumn 2012 as a non profit association. Nexthamburg was funded as a pilot project of the National Urban Development Policy by the Federal Ministry of Transport Building and Urban Development from 2009 to early 2012. Today Nexthamburg is funded by private donations projects with foundations and other actors in the city and the transfer of knowledge to other NGOs or communities. Nexthamburg Plus UG advises investment projects in other German cities. The profits from these activities will also be used to secure the Nexthamburg Dialogue in Hamburg.
