Their organization came together as a neighborhood initiative in Mar Vista California and has grown into a community based neighborhood advocacy group to promote strong local economies in Los Angeles area neighborhoods. Current programs include connecting communities of neighborhood bloggers and businesses promoting open Internet access with free broadband wireless for entire communities and spear heading community solar programs and group purchasing of solar power
