Overview

Orissa State Volunteers and Social Workers Association (OSVSWA) as a development entity with a commitment for social development through empowerment was established in the year 1980 by a group of eminent freedom fighters social workers and social activists and registered under societies Registration Act. 1860 of the Indian Constitution. The organization was established for initiating a movement to promote volunteerism and social action based on Gandhian Philosophy of rural development to create a self dependant and sustainable rural society. rnrnThe organization has been efficient in its ideology of dedication for eradication of poverty and fortifying the quality of life of poor destitute and marginalized section of people for the more than last 3 decades. During this period OSVSWA has undertaken many activities through action and action based research as a measurable tool to success. OSVSWA has a team of dedicated committed and professional development workers in the field of rural and community development development planning research and studies etc.
