Improving lives of India s urban poor.

Energy | India | Access to Energy | Energy and Fuel Efficiency

Pollinate Energy is a not for profit social business that provides access to affordable clean energy technology which improves the livelihood of poor people living in India's urban slums. Through its network of micro distributors Pollinate Energy supplies solar powered home lighting systems to people living without electricity who would otherwise rely on kerosene as a source of light a relatively expensive unsustainable fuel detrimental to users respiratory health. In order to ensure a wide distribution of these systems Pollinate Energy creates opportunities for local entrepreneurs to start their own clean energy businesses that take solar powered lights directly into the communities who need it most. These entrepreneurs or pollinators are supported via the Pollinate Energy head office in Bangalore with comprehensive sales and installation training centralized product maintenance and a rewarding commission structure.
