Overview

The major difficulties that the banking system in the 80s were at the origin of the liquidation of the main Public Development Bank of the Republic of Niger (BDRN). To avoid the great void that the disappearance of this bank could leave at the general operation of the workings of the national economy the decision of the rapid creation of a new financial institution has emerged. So that Bank of Nigerienne Company was born under the implsion of Niger State with the active participation of a leading partner namely SociAtA Tunisienne de Banque (STB) limited company with capital of 2 billion CFA SONIBANK opened for business to the public in August 1990 with a skilled workforce of approximately 110 people.
