Aaron Vermut

Overview

Aaron Vermut is President of Prosper. He works closely with the CEO to set the strategic direction of the company, as well manage the day-to-day operations. Aaron also plays an active role in communicating with Prosper’s community of borrowers and lenders. Before joining Prosper, Aaron was Managing Director, Head of Prime Services at Wells Fargo Prime Services, LLC (formerly Merlin Securities, LLC). Aaron was a founder and Managing Partner at Merlin Securities until its acquisition by Wells Fargo Securities in 2012. Prior to Merlin Securities, Aaron held roles as a Principal at New Enterprise Associates, and as a Senior Consultant at Cambridge Technology Partners. Mr. Vermut has an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in History and German Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
