Overview
Nithya Ramanathan is a Co-Founder and President of Nexleaf Analytics, an Assistant Research Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Co-PI for Project Surya. Nithya began developing mobile phone sensing applications after joining UCLA as a research faculty member. At Nexleaf Analytics, Nithya leads the strategy, vision, and partnerships to develop and evaluate the use of low-cost mobile phone sensors in global health and environmental applications. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA and holds a BS degree from University of California at Berkeley in Electrical Engineering.
