Philip Mickelson

Overview

Philip founded CleanFocus Energy with the sole purpose of making the adoption of renewable energy simple and hassle-free for our customers. In keeping a keen eye on new products and market pricing, Philip has translated market research into cost savings for our solar installation clients in the Bay Area. Philip has been a long-time successful analyst and fund manager focusing on growth technology investing and he transfers this investing experience to make the cost/benefit analysis of solar projects transparent and simple to understand. Philip also founded CleanFocus Advisors to work with clean technology companies to assess market opportunities and provide strategic direction, in addition to raising capital and helping small companies participate in Federal and State funding programs. He began his career as a member of American Express Financial Advisors' Growth Equity portfolio management team, and subsequently was a Senior Equity Analyst for JPMorgan Securities in San Francisco. As an analyst with a San Francisco-based hedge fund, Philip was responsible for research and investment decisions in the US technology sector including the emerging clean technology sectors: solar, wind, electric grid management, alternative transportation and power storage. Philip has a BS from the University of Minnesota, Curtis L. Carlson School of Management and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
