Subrata Mitra

Overview

Mr. Mitra has over 17 years of experience in private equity, credit (corporate finance and SMEs), and investment banking. He has extensive transaction experience in a wide range of industries across Middle East, South Asia and South East Asia. He worked at major multilateral and multinational organizations, such as IFC, World Bank, Royal Dutch/Shell and Global Investment House-Kuwait. He closed/managed investment of about a billion US dollar;. Mr. Mitra led a project of launching ,and listing a US$500 million private equity fund on the Main Market of London Stock Exchange. He managed the fund for five years. Mr. Mitra’s sector expertise include pharmaceuticals, biotech, photovoltaics, electronics, hospitality, cement, automobile and auto-component, steel, packaging, paper, fiberglass, education and IT consulting, banking (conventional and Islamic), trade finance, leasing, housing finance, consumer finance and development finance. Mr. Mitra served as member of the boards of several major companies in the financial and nonfinancial sectors.
